Log House

This little early american house was made from one bundle of "logs"
and scraps left from other kits. The window panes are made from 1/8" stripwood. I painted it with a grey wash. The chimney is made from gravel out of the driveway, several layers glued to a piece of basswood with white glue.

This is the keeping room.
The beams in the ceiling are made from strips made from a scrap of 1x4 pine. The baskets and flowers are hung from pegs made out of round toothpicks.

The front door is also made from the logs and hinged.
The cloak rack is made from a piece of 3/8" stripwood with pegs made from round toothpicks. The cloaks are made from a piece of soft finely woven wool.

The large cooking fireplace I found on one of my browsing trips,
it is complete with the swingout pot hanging hook.

This is the sleeping loft.
The furniture is made from a Reallife kit.

The blanket chest has a hinged lid and a working drawer,
as does the washstand.
