NEEDLEWORK

This is some examples of my needlework...

This is made from bias binding...measures 6" X 9"....

I first pinned down the lengthwise strips, then started weaving the crosswise strips. I placed a tiny drop of Tacky glue under each strip that layed on the top of the cross piece, on the folded under edge so it would not come thru to the top, to hold in place as I worked...pinned the backing in place, then glued the folded bias tape around the edge with a tiny line of glue. After it dryed throughly I then began the stitching along the edge of each square....I used the glue to hold it all in place and make for easier stitching!!!

This is the first mini quilt I made...found the 2 little prints in a local fabric store while looking for my size dress fabric!!
I used 2 layers of light weight white flannel for the batting and the backing..
It is on one of the beds in the Farmhouse!!!

These are also 6" x 9" for double bedsize....
