The Colonial

We owned a place on a local lake and spent weekends and holidays there.  I found that on the days we could not get outside to fish, swim, garden, etc that I missed my minis!  Solution--another dollhouse.  I found a colonial kit on sale in my shop browsing.  It had been returned, opened and had missing parts.....but at half price what self respecting mini-oholic could pass it up!  I check the parts list against all the parts and made a list, contacted the manufacturer and they replaced them free of charge....what a bargain! I carried it to the lake. Now I had a city house and a lake house!

This is the back view. I liked the wide staircase area, however it did not allow for extra rooms upstairs.

I painted the stairs and made a carpet runner....

This is the finished front.  I used jewelry findings to make the porch lights, it is not wired.

All of the light fixtures are made from jewelry findings, beads, and gold wire.

More of the light fixtures on the next page...
I apologize for the quality of these pictures, they were made from old photos, and you know had they fade over time!!!
