This is the Mud Room workshop project in Atlanta this past year. It was presented by Gwen Stiles.....a very detailed and a fun project, as you have to make everything yourself...!!!
the fish is stuffed with kleenex.....this was something new to me..you cut out the object and place face down on multiple layers of paper towels, rub to make it cup, then place layers of kleenex inside the cuped portion and glue to painted board...mounted fish!!!
The floor tiles are hand painted...
We have riding boots and western boots....
Gwen provided a pattern for making the glass door and a choice of scenes..
The plant is made from floral tape and wire..
The rollerblades are metal miniatures, I painted them and put black laces..
The cowboy hat and skates are also metal....I made the tie for the hat by braiding 3 strands of size 30 crochet thread...
On the table is a baseball glove with ball, a hockey puck, pruning shears, a pot of seedings and a riding hat, complete with buckle on the strap...
We made the golf bag with leather trim and even a zipper for the ball pocket..
The golf shoes are also metal and we made tiny leather fringe flaps and ties!!
The slicker is made from a rubber glove..and believe me that glove had a mind of its own!! I ran a pipecleaner thru the sleeves and folded into shape..
The wreath is made from the foam wrapped around some wire and dried flowers, with a tiny tea cup..
This was really a fun project..
Gwen has some great projects, if you ever get a chance to take one of her workshops, by all means do it!!
MORE WILL BE ADDED AS I GET THE CREATIVE JUICES FLOWING!!!!..... |
